Reporting to the Powertrain Test Facility – Team Leader, as a proven professional you will be required to deliver powertrain testing within a state-of-the–art Powertrain Test Centre.

Job Purpose

Role is to lead test and development work on automotive electrified powertrains.

 Person Specification

Degree level education likely in the field of electrical engineering or mechanical engineering. Higher level degrees are also useful. Experience in the automotive sector is required developing electrified powertrain and components.  Background in automotive development environment. Experience in electrified powertrain including E-machine, driveline and engine. Knowledge and understanding of vehicle attribute engineering and target setting. Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead test & development work on electrified automotive powertrains and mechanical systems on powertrain test bed and in vehicle. This includes but is not limited to E-machines, E-drive units, battery, dedicated hybrid components and E-control units
• Lead test and development of performance, efficiency, drivability etc. as needed based on project scope, to include:
  - Support/manage powertrain build activities (E-machine or hybrid drives)
  - Design, plan and organise test and development programmes on powertrain rig or dyno
  - Supervise powertrain development programs

Job Purpose

Reporting to the CAE manager, you will be responsible for providing analysis support in three key areas:

1. CAUK based concept powertrain technologies (Electric & hybrid systems).
2. Optimisation of CAHQ powertrain systems, either existing or under development.
3. Investigation into failure or deficiencies of products in current production.

Person Specification

• Degree qualified or similar qualification in a relevant discipline.
